title: The face of fear!

This painting tells the story of a woman who has experienced violence.
The wounds on her body are visible, but the wounds on her soul are much deeper.
The curtain is an important symbol in my work. It can represent fear, silence, femininity, intimacy, and the parts of ourselves we keep hidden.
The green curtain represents peace. I wanted to create a contrast between the fear and pain she carries, and the peace and safety she deserves.

The thick paint application is intentional. I wanted the texture to reflect the depth of the wounds, the pain, and the emotional scars left behind by violence.
